Early Life and Career Beginnings
Born and raised in Kernersville, North Carolina he is one of two twins.
He played footbal and baseball throughout Glenn High School and the Univeristy of North Carolina in Charlotte.
Chris learned to play the guitar when he realised his sustained injuries affected his chance at a professional baseball career.
While living at home, Chris worked for his fathers landscaping business and started a cover band which played in High Point University cafeteria.
In 2007, Chris and his brother auditioned for the 7th season of American Idol, but did not make it to Hollywood.
In 2008, Seth England of Big Loud Mountain management met Chris and lauched his career as a country music artist.
Career
Before persuing a solo career, Chris was the front man for the Chris Lane Band who's album Let's Ride charted on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in 2012.
In 2013, Chris moved to Nashville, TN and opened for The Band Perry, Eli Young Band and many others.
On June 10, 2014, Chris' debut single, "Broken Windshield View" was relased to country radio by Big Loud Mountain. It sold 11,000 downloads in the first week.
In 2017, Chris was nominated for iHeartRadio Music Awards "Best New Country Artist" and ACM Awards "New Male Vocalist of the Year".
Personal Life
Chris started dating Lauren Bushnell, the winner of the 20th season of The Bachelor in 2018, got engaged on June 16th 2019 and married in Nashhville on October 25th 2019.
The both live happily ever after in Nashville, and Chris still makes some of the best country music today.
